need help for christmas with toys or clothes

I may be able to help a little for someone but mostly everyone i have read about doesnt say where they r from...I am in Illinois.

Hi, My name is DeAngelo and my girlfriend name is Shandra who has 3 children before our relationship who i accept as my own children and now last year we had our forth. We lived in Detroit for 3yrs. while we were together and things have been pretty rough since. Now I kept a job to support us all but it was'nt enough. Last year for christmas we struggled to get our children gifts but their christmas turned out moderate but we knew as parents they wanted more. Now while in Detroit we were constantly moving because the land owners never had anything up to code so we had to move, and what amazed me was that the apartment we moved into was the same (isn't that something). So we moved again to northern michigan to try to start over but when we arrived a week later i got injured so for 3 months I could'nt work. My girlfriend is stressing because she knows we can not get our four childern nothing for christmas and they deserve something because they are doing so much better in school. We have an 1yr. old girl,a 3yr. old boy, a 7yr.old boy, and a 9 yr.old girl. If anyone out there is reading my message no better yet wish we can really use the help this Christmas.

Please try this page for links to Charities this Christmas .Please know that it may be too late to apply for Christmas charities , but there are still tons of ideas that you can use to make Christmas nice for your family. Your attitude is what makes or breaks Christmas for your kids . A good attitude in times like these is the best thing you could give your kids.

I never thought I would have to do this, I always thought I'd be the one helping others. I am 33 with a nine year old daughter, I am in school, but can't finish..beacuse I have a tuition due that my grants and loans didn't cover so am stuck. I moved to Georgia for a lower cost of living, but I don't know anyone here in troupe county or LaGrange, I have no family able to help my parents are stuck and on a low income in california...and no matter how hard I try I can't get a job. I look every day. I moved out here thinking I had one, but of course it fell through. Recently I've been trying to work as an outdoor sales person..selling meat. Its commission only though and its tough. I barely make enough money to cover the babysitter. I need help, I hate asking for it. But I hvae nothing for my daughter this year and its breaking my heart. If anyone knows of anywhere I might be able to volunteer in exchange for help so she can have some sort of christmas. I don't have any of our decorations from California. We took the bus and left everything behind. It doesnt feel like christmas, but she keeps handing me a christmas list anyway. Any idea's, please. I would very much appreicate it. I don't know what else to do.

I am a single mother of 3 I feel I could just cut and paste from all the above posts.  My story is the same.  I have an 18 year old US Marine and then a 10 year old girl and a 8 year old boy.  I have always worked to provide a good life for my kids but have run into many problems in the last few years including our home burning down.   I would really appreciate any help this year. hello i am a single mother of 1 a 8yr old son. last year i was not able to get him any thing for xmas and the church has to  help  and i was so happy  and again this  year i am not able to . i am spending money on getting  my car  fix and i dont make enough to get a new  one  and get the one i  need fix we  both need clothes shoe and half the time food it funny when u teel the truth u dont get any thing doe as much so if there is any who can help please help me i take what ever bed room set plates cookware what ever please help

My 13 year old son had a stroke in october, and I had to take leave from my job. I'm a mother of four. I bit nails off worrying what to do for christmas. Living only on my husbands income, is just getting us by for the holidays. Then one of my kids came to me and said don't worry mom. Even if santa doesn't come we still have Jessie. Hi. My name is Glenda and I live in Smyrna, Georgia. I feel your pain and disappointment. I recently lost my job ( 1 week ago ). And I am now worried. I am very thankful that I have enough funds to pay my rent and utility bill for this month. BUT Christmas..........I am a single mother of 5 children. I have an 18 year old son that is now worried about his school payments; he's a college student, I have a 15 year old daughter, 12 year old son, and my babies are 5 and 6 years old.

I just pray. Inspite of, I'm still thankful. For me, Christmas is just another day, but for my children, they are asking me for things (gifts) that I know at this point we are not able to buy. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE'VE BEEN WITHOUT A JOB.

have you tried toys for tots? caling the salvation army? or just calling churches in your area? the toy rescue mission does stuff too. call 211 they will give you more info..... or talk to any sort of consler or worker you may have.
